I began my career as an illustrator, doing a lot of editorial projects that required intensive conceptual work
at the start of the process. I quickly learned the value of a good idea. When work was begun without a solid idea behind the project, the finished piece would usually be a lackluster effort.
Once I understood this, I relished the conceptual stage of a project, and saw that the more ideas were explored
the better the final product. In the future I would like to be able to incorporate my illustration skills into the
planning phase of a level layout.
