I began my art career as an illustrator, doing a lot of editorial projects that required heavy conceptual work
at the start of the process. I learned quickly the value of a good idea. When work began without a solid idea
behind the project, the finished piece would usually turn out pretty lackluster.
Once I understood this, I relished the conceptual stage of a project, and saw that the more ideas were explored
the better the final product. I have mounds of sketches of fantasy ideas that I sketched out in my free time,
each one waiting for its turn to come to life in a video game.
